In an effort to obtain the funds required in order to operate the Youth in Agriculture Initiative, the organization has launched a public plea for donations. The campaign is seeking the full startup costs, as well as the first year’s operating expenses. This comes to an approximate fundraising goal of US$90000.
The main campaign uses the crowd-funding platform, Chuffed.Org – an Australian based online fundraising site that is specific to social enterprise and humanitarian efforts. Within the campaign donors have the option to donate any dollar amount, or select one of several specific options (tuition for a year, agricultural inputs, and other necessities).
In addition to this public plea, YAI is also seeking funding from organizations and other investors.
